Treaty of Seccularism

Please help me find a better name.

  It is almost 200 years since the humans were pushed through the portals out of Levis. The Gods were quiet during the invasion, and some have even started to disappear from the world and memory. The dark places are getting more dark, and lines are starting to form along stress-points within Levis.   The Kingdom of Solaris is reaching a hundred years old and more of the smaller towns join it every season. Monsters climb from the forest and torment the populace. And still the gods are mostly quiet. Or that's the standard line at least. As a person in power, you see the creation of Olaris, but you also see how it presses against the middle gods - Infertanis, Aranthme, and Elythera and scrapes its technomagical staff against the ideas of the older gods - Dellidae, Izdione and many lost. You see the spiritual slowly being lost as ritual replaces connection and you are so very afraid you'll wake up and the stories your grandparents tell of humans might be a new kind of horror. So you decide to solve it.

  Held in the Amphitheatre of Knowledge, three of the four great communities of Levis agree to meet to discuss the problems with gods, and the worship thereof. The Nocturne Empire refuse contact, keeping their knowledge and selves well enough alone.   Governmental leaders, and great thinkers attend and set about working out the best way to enact the de-escalation of worship within Levis, to outwardly bring about the community within Levis and drive one more trouble from its borders. The meeting took three days, though the implementation took nearly a generation, driving most worship deep behind the covers and away from public eye.   Over the years the Binding has been ratified with clauses and new articles, most recently with the demon threat, and the gods that they bring.
