Uari's Razirite
Riders of the Spear
While the average band of raiders out on the plain might accost you in their leather and fur attire, Uari's lads will do so clad in rough patches of hardened steel. Better to pay up and stay quiet or else they'll leave you without a tongue or head.
Legacy of the Warlord
Would we not dishonour ourselves by betraying his daughter—the very last of his line?Milawsa Ba Uari's razirite was born a direct consequence of the collapse of the old Empire of the Celadrisians which left the region is a state of anarchy. Uari's father, Milawsa Tui Malrikh, was a renowned warlord who had faithfully served the last elširil before his assassination. Following the chaos that ensued, he had rallied his steadfast forces in hopes of carving out a realm of his own from the disintegrating remains of the empire, but before he had an opportunity to proclaim the birth of a new razirite, an assassins blade had found his neck.
Malrikh's Men
The death of the old warlord left his warband with a sense of purposefulness, and there were many who left, seeking fortune on their own, yet those who remained looked to their deceased leader's young daughter, Uari. Milawsa Ba Uari had been a sickly child, and her frail body didn't inspire a whole lot of confidence from the battle-hardened warriors, but loyalty to her father and the honour they held dear made them hopeful that Uari could follow in her father's footsteps. Even if she was unable to ride to battle herself, she could at least master the art of war and command from the rear. With the remaining men throwing their weight behind her ascension, Milawsa Ba Uari proclaimed the dawn of a new razirite—one that would bring terror to the hearts of all who opposed them and conspired to murder Malrikh.Ihantal's Spear
The fortunes of Uari's Razirite turned considerably when a group of scouts exploring the mountains of Ihantal's Spine stumbled across a massive structure—a vast spire of metal that towered over the surrounding landscape. With haste, the explorers rode back to regroup with the razirite, informing Uari of the strange structure they'd found. Unsure whether the building was occupied by anyone, Uari ordered her forces to approach the location so that they could gather more information, but once it had become obvious that not a soul had entered or left the building in a long while, they decided to try the front door.Sovereign of the Spear
The large metal doors of the colossal structure were—to everyone’s surprise—rather easy to open. The hinges of the large doors had been heavily corroded, but after a few minutes of pushing and enduring the deafening squeaking and screeching that the procedure produced, the doors were open. Inside, the hardy nomads discovered a strange sight with rooms filled with rusty pipes and gears covering the walls and the ceiling. Despite the messy state of the interior, the place was deemed an excellent keep for the razirite and Uari turned the place into her seat of power, claiming a room on the top floor for her own. Much of the metal that littered the ground was quickly put to good use by Uari’s smiths, who fashioned arms and armour from whatever they could get their hands on, providing their armed forces with a helpful advantage against their foes. What couldn’t be used for weapons and armour was sold to travelling caravans in exchange for other vital supplies that they otherwise would have needed to raid to acquire. In addition to the scraps of metal, the men and women of Uari’s Razirite discovered large containers filled with crude oil which they turned into their primary source of fuel for heating and lighting and there were also lots of tiny contraptions, but no one succeeded in determining their use and purpose.
