House Baridis

House Baridis is one of the Great Houses of Kratiros, currently charged with holding civil authority in the Atanouli Province in the north of the empire.

Structure

Like all Kratiran noble houses, House Baridis is organised by blood relation. At present, the house has a main branch and three further cadet branches.

Public Agenda

House Baridis is a declared member of The Businessmen faction, and as a Great House, they wield considerable influence in the faction. In addition to the considerable industrial and commercial enterprises that they sponsor across their province, the house is working to expand the borders of the empire by creating new settlements in the Sideron Hills.

Political Influence & Intrigue

In addition to their legitimate enterprises, House Baridis also has their hands more underhanded dealings. They support a number of bands of organised thieves that operate in the towns along the Atanouli River. These criminals typically prey on folk across the border in the Geprost Kingdom, but occasionally they are less concerned with the allegiance of their victims that they are with the spoils of their actions. On these occasions, the house has stepped in to quietly sweep these indiscretions away rather than seeing the guilty brought to justice.
