Seedbaler

A semi-mythological creature associated with Gardeners. Few have ever seen it in person, but it is said to take the form of that which you wish most.  

"It was a Seedbaler. It is written about in the Gardener's scriptures. It is suppose to show that which you wish most." After another pause, he added, "I saw a butterfly."

  Some speculate that the creature's eggs can take the guise of other objects, or even the eggs of other creatures, as a form of defensive camouflage.  

Sighting in Cerberus

  Rbz7: The crew first saw the Seedbaler as they explored a cavern created by the monstrous Parasect within the Cerberus station substructure.  

• Reinhard saw it as a beautiful naked woman. The interpretation is clear.
• Saskia saw a vulture-like bird, which she interprets as a reflection of her own inner selfishness.
• Benesh saw a seahorse; its interpretation is unclear.
• Quinn saw a butterfly but did not clarify what this meant.
• Echo, who remained with the fire engine, did not get a good view of it. But his cybernetic eyes recorded a clear glow emerging from the egg and floating upward through a wall.

  The crew were awe-struck by the experience, many calling it a religious epiphany. Reinhard and @Quinn carefully extracted the hollowed egg from which it "hatched" and housed it within a makeshift altar made from one of the glass equipment cabinets on the fire engine.   Rbz11: The egg relic was saved by Quinn's foresight, having stashed it at a safe location away from the fire engine before they sprung the disasterous ambush of the Parsect. However, as he carries it around by hand, he may have nearly dropped it within the grounds of Precursor forges.
