Kata Potoliethran

Kata Potoliethran was one of Tisserian's major cities. It was destroyed during the Orasi Crusade, rebuilt, and destroyed again by The Empire of Scale. Today, the once mighty city is a haunted ruin, a crumbling memory of what once was.   The city sits on Lake Erysaran's western shore. It is a vertical city cut into steep terraces in the mountains. It is protected by the Stone Guardians, enchanted statues that come alive to defend the city. Many were destroyed in the war, but enough survived to pose a threat to any traveler entering the ruins.   The greater danger comes from the undead, however. The spirits of the former Tisseri inhabitants of Kata Potoliethron wander the ruins aimlessly: with the city's Luminous Shrines destroyed, and unwelcome in Muara's hall, the spirits of the fallen have nowhere to go. Consequently, these bitter spirits attack any living thing that enters their domain.   Aidan's summer palace, the Palace of the Lion, is located on the highest terrace. This is also where Empress Kireana traditionally lived as a child. The city's abandonment has forced the Tisseri to change this tradition.
