R̂oldavus Etpimcemus travels to Atesi to meet with Tola Eppova. As punishment for her disobedience, he disinherits her and withdraws Imperial protection from Dacciia, effectively creating an independent state. As harsh as the penalty was, it is widely credited for averting a bloody civil war.
