A Fractured Paradise
37 Dromstrath 9998
It is the year 9999 and the Confederacy of Beaumont trembles, shaken to its very foundation. Towering spires of chrome, glass and crystal pierce the skies while arcane engines hum beneath obsidian streets. Neon sigils flicker with ancient warnings and whispers carry across the winds telling a dark and dreadful story.
But time is running out.
Twice in the world's past, at the turn of the ten-thousandth year, the Sculptor of the Skies has rained fire upon the world—erasing civilizations, melting mountains, and casting the Beaus into the black depths below. These cataclysms, known as Great Dyings, have carved scars into the world and the hearts of its people as they struggle to survive to the next iteration.
Yet each time, from the ashes, the Beaus have endured. They have rebuilt their world—wiser, stronger, ever reaching higher. Now, as the calendar ticks toward its fateful rollover, dread coils in the hearts of all.
Whispers fill the bazaars. Prophets weep in the gutters. And above all, the Beaumont Royal Navy, once protectors of the peace, tightens its grip—more zealous, more brutal, more desperate than ever.
In the shadow of this collapse, hope flickers.
An unlikely band of adventurers dare to unite across faction lines. With them travels a princess from another world, her origin veiled in myth and her presence a beacon of possibility, a beacon... of Hope.
Together, they race against time, hunted by steel ships and spells, to unearth the truth of the Great Dyings—and stop a third from rising…
