The Daggers

The Daggers are a range of mountains which exist as a part of the much larger Gonnak Mountains. They are defined by the Great Mountain Pass to the north, and extend all the way south to the ocean. They are assumed to be impenetrable due to the persistent snow and wind at the highest peaks, which one must cross over to get to the western side of the mountains. It is widely believed by scholars that there was once civilization beyond The Daggers, and that the city-states of Tajj Neta before the Unification Crusade likely had contact with them, but there has been no contact in recorded history. Due to the current state of the Fluctuation  of Kōna, many atmospherologists believe that the weather patterns in this area may soon change and it could once again be possible to cross the mountains and meet whatever - or whoever - may be on the other side. Many explorers, adventurers, and guildsmen have heard this news and been excited by it. Some have been too excited, attempting the crossing too early, and disappearing amongst the snow.
