Convent of Pestilence

Overview

The Convent of Pestilence is a citadel situated at the start of a long and narrow ravine.

It is comprised of the aforementioned Convent and an adjacent village that serves it. the convent is a large temple that predates the current occupants.

The head of the priory is a priest of Ereshkigal named Hight Priest Ilisudril.

The backside of the temple is situated against a vertical mountain wall parted in the middle to form a narrow ravine with high wall.

There inside are alcoves that serve as a laboratory for the high priest.

The City itself and the surrounding area is covered in a thick yellow-green fog, known as The Miasma. locals try to cover their nose and mouth as much as they can when they are outside or in close proximity to strangers.

The populous lives in constant fear of diseases and death.

City guard

The local guards are known as the Quarantine Watch.

They wear a cloth soaked in a mysterious brown liquid, and often re-soak it from a container they carry.

The officers re known as The Plague Physicians.

They wear elaborate face respirators, often styled after bird heads with exaggerated beaks. many of them are priests or magic users of some kind.

The Miasma

A thick yellow-green fog covers the settlement and it's surrounding lands. when inhaled living creature must roll a CON save of increasing difficulty.

Uppon failure the creature is considured Diseased (choosen at random from a table of desieses).

The disease is magical and curing it with magical means is contested by a roll (DC increases as the stages of the disease unfurl)

Drinking unpurified watter warrents a roll with dissadvantage.

The withering

Prodrome- a sense of weakness for 6hrs

The Next 24 hrs- A creature gains 1lvl of exhaustion that can't be cured unless the disease is cured.

All Strengh checks and saving throws are with dissadvantage

The Pox

Prodrome- a sense of itchiness to the skin for 6 hrs

The next 24hrs- the skin is covered with big pustulent sores

All visual based perseption checks are with dissadvantage

All charisma checks are with dissadvantages

The Runnings

Prodrome- pain and contractions of the stomach for 6 hrs

The next 24hrs- Dissadavntage of CON saves

Dissadvantage of Dex checks and saving throws.

The Confusion

Prodrome- a mild headache for 6 hrs

The next 24hrs- All Int checks and saving shrow are with dissadvantage

Any loud noises cause 1d4+4 Psychic damage

The Rage

Prodrome- a sense of iiritability and anger

The next 24hrs- All Wis checks and saving throws are with dissadvantage

In combat there is a 40%chanse of attacking an ally with a melee atack
