3 Rivers Town
Description
- A trade town situated on the confluence of 2 big rivers- The golden Dust gorge that runs from the north and the Blood River that flows from the west. The tributary rivers are bridged by 2 bridges which are connected to the hill fort and there are also a ford down the river (whrer the ruined remains of a 3rd river can be seen) The town is a major regional trade center and multiple roads lead to it from the surrounding countryside.
- The tween bridges connecting the inflowing rivers with the hill fort predate most of the buildings in town and are beautiful slender constructs of elven architectural style, suitable for pedestrian crossing. for heavier and wider carts, the ford down the river is usually used
- Architecture style- mostly buildings are hobbit holes made watertight with a special natural resin, imported from a nearby village. along the river there are multiple docks designed to float in case of a flood. this red colore resin is tighty regulated by a Guild, dedicated to it's aquisition and distribution. on top of that a thick layer of resin lines every door and window, giving the whole town a destinctive look.
- The confluence creates a Y shaped river formation. On the top of the Y there is a hill on which the town center is situated (Called the Hill Fort)- it is a walled complex comprised of stone\wood structures. Town hall/prison and various important buildings and guild houses.
Most of the city is located on south side of the outgoing river- dominated by low hills and hobbit-style dwellings. The north side is the flat bank- more industrial. Farms docks and storage facilities.

- The Lantern Watch is the local town guard. they have a barracks within the hill fort. they walk in pairs with big poles with lanterns on top. the lanterns are from an old an forgotten tradition ment to keep evil spirits away, but the locals joke that they mainly serve to warn criminals in a advance, so that the watchmen won't have to deal with them.

- The Watch-Tower Owned by Nedard, a scrawny human- immediately north of the town there is a clearing before the woods. parallel to the river looking out to the tree line there is a row of old dilapidated watch towers. one of them has been preserved and re-purposed as a general store located on the 2 floors on top of the tower. the lower floor is a exhibition room with the clerk table, behind which there is a ladder to the top floor that serves as sleeping quarters and storage room.
- The Hill Fort- an earth and wood palisade walled enclosure on top of the high hill between the confluence of the rivers. the bridges connecting it to the rest of town are guarded and a toll is levied on those who wish to pass.
It is home to the governing structures (town hall, lantern watch barracks, prison, the guild-council house)
