Walter I

King

Walter was King of Canada from 1936 to 1992. He was prolific during the World War. When the Canadian government voiced concerns regarding rising tensions with the Kingdom of America to the south, Walter agreed for Canada's position in the Commonwealth of Nations led by Great Britain. This was done as a deterrent, but ultimately failed when the Empire of Japan attacked the American navy in the Battle of Guam, forcing Great Britain, and by extension the Commonwealth, into the war against America regardless.

In order to remain out of a total war, Walter met with his first cousin, King James I of America. A secret deal was struck, wherein both sides would surrender key points along the border in a tactical withdrawal. Canada surrendered the port of Halifax, while America surrendered the Niagara Falls hydroelectric power plant.
