Eleanor

Queen

Eleanor von Lexington was a Princess of America, being the daughter of King James I and Queen Anne of America. Known as the "Juliet of the modern age", she was known for having a very close friendship with Prince David of Hawaii. Those a romance was never made official, with both being in their teens, it did not stop Eleanor's father from attempting to weaponize the friendship to turn Hawaii against the Empire of Japan and the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.

America and Hawaii would go to war beginning in 1944, entering the two kingdoms as the World War was waged. David would be killed in 1946 during a Hawaiian mutiny, with Eleanor falling into a deep depression. She attempted to push through by advocating for a quick end to the war and helping with wounded combat veterans. Alas, Eleanor was described by those close to her to be changed forever.

In 1951, David's brother, Edward Keliʻiahonui, stepped forward to ask for Eleanor's hand in marriage, believing it was his duty to keep her protected. The two were married in 1953, coinciding with the death of Edward's father who opposed the marriage. Eleanor would say in her diaries that Edward was kind and caring, but that she never truly loved him, and still held feelings for David.
