American Royal Naval Academy
The American Royal Naval Academy, otherwise known as ARNA or simply Annapolis is one of the premier military institutes in the Kingdom of America. The Academy's army counterpart is the American Royal Military Academy, while the air force counterpart is the American Royal Air Force Academy. The current superintendent is Vice Admiral Lord Damon Grey, Earl of Worcester.

History
The American Royal Naval Academy was established as the Maritime Security Institute in 1794 by King Henry I in order to drill naval officers against pirates and privateers. The Academy was first envisioned by Admiral John Barry, Earl of Burlington, who is credited as the "Father of the American Navy". As the first American officially commissioned as a naval officer, he argued for a greater role of the Navy in American politics. A Prussian-style General Staff was desired by King Henry, and thus commanded Lord Barry to establish the school.
The MSI was re-designated as the Naval Academy in 1806 with the designation of Admiral Stephen Decatur, Earl of Worcester, as the Superintendent of the Academy by Admiral Richard Dale, Earl of Chester and Chief Admiral of the Fleet. This was deemed nescassary due to the growth of the American Navy during the Franco-American Wars and the American involvement in the Napoleonic Wars.
The Academy's alumni include that of Grand Duke John von Lexington, King Richard I of Australia, and Crown Prince James.
