Greenlander

Greenlanders are the most common race of Kenshi. They are a subrace of Human, most abundant in The Holy Nation and other temperate regions. The worst of them live in ignorance, knowing only greed and fear, reacting to anything different with hatred and violence, but the best of them are some of the greatest civilized scientists, engineers and warriors of the moon.

Physical Description

Greenlanders are the salt-worn sons and daughters of Okran, standing five to six feet tall, carved lean by wind and famine, typically between 100 and 200 pounds. Most bear lighter skin, their faces marked by wind and grit, with hair of deep brown or black and eyes to match. Built for endurance over elegance, they are a people shaped by hardship, walking the world with quiet resilience.

Personality

Greenlanders are a patchwork people... drifters, soldiers, traders, and tyrants... Woven.
Their nature is molded from stubborn clay, cracked by famine, fire, and centuries of hardship. Though adaptable and clever, there’s a sharpness to them, a legacy of blood from their cannibal ancestors in the north.
Violence lies near the surface, not out of malice, but instinct, a coiled response to threat or betrayal. Yet, in peace, they are loyal companions, dry-witted storytellers, and tireless workers. A Greenlander survives not by strength alone, but by learning the shape of every storm.
Nothing ever truly changes. Trends, cultures, languages, rulers... they come and go. But behaviour bred from greed and fear hold human evolution at a standstill. Any kind of progress made is usually destroyed... reset in one way or another. Like a wave, it evolves and it falls again...

Ideology
While Greenlanders have been known to have many ideologies most are followers of the Church of Okran. Okran himself was a Greenlander and many see themselves as his children and divine race. The Holy Nation calls it's citizens Okran's children and it is punishable by death to speak poorly of Okran or The Holy Phoenix.

Relations
Many outsiders view Greenlanders as narrow-minded zealots, a reputation earned by their prominence within the Holy Nation. Yet to many Greenlanders, this outlook is less ignorance and more conviction. They see Skeletons not as machines, but as the sworn agents of Narko, eternal ancient foes of mankind.
