Tiefling
In the wake of The Brink rose The Deep Freeze. And from the depths of this decades long cold war came a new generation of those not intended as soldiers but as spies since outright violence was met harshly in the aftermath of The Brink. Australia who had been allies to America in the last conflict had been given limited access to the files surrounding the creation of AASIMAR soldiers and used it as the foundation of their own project. Infiltrators meant to acquire information swiftly and leave without a trace. But created with their own methods of defense, particularly in the growing harsher climates. Where America had taken to images of angels and salvation, Australia created the sister program as a dark reflection to the Angels of War with their Devils in the Dark.
Tactical Infiltration and Espionage Force for Locating, Intercepting, Neutralizing, and Gathering. As clever a name as all the others satisfying both the purpose of something to call them, and reminding them always what they were made for. Spies created to collect knowledge and data from other countries and bring it back or spread it for the benefit of all. Or such was the justification. TIEFLINGS like AASIMAR sport advancements based heavily on technology, though some mutations were required in order to make them optimal for their purpose in espionage. This did not always go as planned though. While most of them were only distinctive by their remarkable resilience to fire and heat as well as tails they more often choose to keep hidden until necessary for aided balance and tripping enemies, some had features more difficult to hide such as horns that grew in no predictable form or even a complete change of skin tone to colors not previously seen in humans. Some that were made closer to the original blueprints for AASIMAR sport wings too that grant more consistent flight capabilities, some being given mechanical wings and others managing by random genetic mutation to sprout their own natural pair of flesh material. The latter types are typically failed out of the main programs and serve in other parts for the purposes of the government, or released without ever having been able to serve their original purpose at all and made to seek their place in the world in ways hopefully akin to what they were changed for.
