The DDA was founded by The Wild Cards, a group of independent investigators thrown together under American government order in the earliest stages of Keltrex's appearance in 2175. After doing the investigative work they had been sent to do, the group decided to remain on the island and begin the organization that would primarily work to establish itself as an independent law keeping service without any dedicated tower allegiance. It has now grown to have its own dedicated tower as a base of operations and is utilized as security and law service by about 30% of civilian run towers and tower sections. Besides offering these services they retain their status as an organization of private investigators as well, something that takes them beyond their dedicated tower areas in order to pursue investigations they are hired (and sometimes not hired) to look into. DDA agents are often intelligent, lawful in nature, and passionate about justice and upkeeping order in the chaotic landscape that is Keltrex. Whether they are native to the isles or from outside the gates, it does not matter. Your purpose is to find the truth and to keep people safe.Enemies:
You are always in tension with The Tulemon. To date ever step forward to overturn the crime family's influence and industry has taken you three steps back from undoing their operations. Evidence ever just out of reach. They stand against everything you seek to do in maintaining law, however loose it is, because they feel above it but operate just out of sight. You are also in consistent conflict with The Stingers due to their openly violent and less than law abiding actions. While they are not as often overtly criminal as The Tulemon, they certainly could not care less if what they do interferes with the order you try to maintain, since well...your order stands against the anarchy they want to live in.
