The Grove
The woodlands of Allegri are vast and secreted away deep within the already special forests south of Clavier is an isolated community of Fortum Dryads who tend a unique grove of trees. For centuries the region has been important to the Fortum and has been quietly kept away from human industrialization and influence. Originally the home to a small clan of elves with a rustic spiritual connection to the region, they were discovered by the Dryads and approached with the option to reintegrate with their cousins. The old families still tend the region, but now they are trained and experienced druids with a wider community to support them.
The grove itself consists of 58 closely tended trees that have been infused with a mysterious cosmic energy. These mystical trees are sacred to most of the elves that know of them and doubly so for most Fortum Dryads. The trees produce a seasonal crop of apple-like fruit that they consider sacred and is a component of many cultural traditions. Fortum Dryads do not usually live among their family or within communities but the Dryads living here are typically descended from the ancient bloodline. There is a small community that consists of close family and partners who understand and support their calling. It's also appealing to those who crave a safe community without the stifling walls of the city, which can be hard to find.
The few permanent buildings in the region are clustered outside the eastern edge of the grove itself and are home to those who choose to live indoors and tend the area day-to-day. A handful of smaller buildings serve as workshops and storage for food reserves and other permanent inventory that requires it.
