Maenari Temple of Justice
Future Home of Justice
As various sects and splinter-religions have broken away from the Church of First Worship, even the followers of the 'leader' felt the need to establish their own traditions that would fully align with the teachings and examples set by Maenar themselves. Being one of the largest demographics among the faithful, it was expected that the Maenari would build an awesome structure to house their ceremonies and conduct their private rituals.
After the land was secured from the city through a complicated and needlessly officious process the season turned frigid and construction was delayed several months. During this period, the Maenari churchgoers still attending the Church of First Worship were ostracized by the larger community for their intentions to leave the greater faith. Once they began laying the foundation for the main structure it became clear the leadership, which consisted of clergy rather than merchants or bankers, had grossly underbudgeted the cost of building such a structure.
Despite social and financial setbacks, the congregation pulled together and funded a significantly more modest temple that they would continue to expand as the need might arise. The debut of the new temple was lackluster with only the entrance, foyer, and main chapel being finished and a small cottage at the back of the property that housed the handful of clergy who now lived on the church grounds after leaving the service of their former church.
Many initial supporters returned to their original church once they realized their church leaders had failed. This only delayed construction further which, in turn resulted in more worshippers leaving. With a greatly reduced flock to tend, the Maenari church eventually stabilized and has begun to recover from their poor beginning.
