The Sparrows Nest

In addition to the sprawling multilevel Crossroads Cafe, there are many little eateries scattered throughout the marketplace promenade of the starbase that serve a wide variety of ethnic cuisines from all over Kantostara. Most of these eateries also play host to the Sparrows Nest, a rather unique little gathering place whose location moves every single day. Its existence at the Crossroads is a well kept secret because it is the home of the sparrows, an underground network of smugglers and rebels who operate in the shadows to escape the scrutiny of the UAG regulators.

Description

  The Sparrows Nest is a place for the sparrows to meet and socialize where they can relax and speak freely without having to worry about outsiders listening in. Here the sparrows can make connections, plan jobs, exchange information, or simply get a bite to eat while enjoying each other's company. It is located in a pocket dimension whose interior is always transforming, so you never really know what to expect at the Sparrows Nest. Both the staff and the patrons need to be flexible and ready to adapt to the constantly changing environment. Not only does the location change every day, but the menu and decor as well. It's always an adventure. You never really know what you're going to find when you step through to the other side.

Access

  In order to maintain secrecy and keep it hidden from the general public, the location of the entrance to the pocket dimension containing the Sparrows Nest is constantly changing. Every day Mike, the Arcgelen brother in charge of food, drink, and entertainment at the Crossroads, will randomly choose the name of one of the little eateries on the promenade and select a random item from their menu. Mike then makes an announcement that the chosen establishment is running a special on that item, and only those who know the code will understand that the eatery will be the host for the Sparrows Nest that day and the menu item will be the password to gain entry. Regular customers who enter the eatery will not experience anything unusual, but sparrows, who whisper the password while entering, will be transported into a completely different dimension.
