The Mind
The Intellect and Soul, the Protector- The Mind
Core Alignment: Protective Neutral
Domains: Water, Knowledge, Air, Life
The second half of the Balance’s Gem was not recovered as quickly as the first, the Blue shards flying through the air into the chasm that would become the Great River. It wasn't until the first rains that cooled the mountains and flowed into the new river, that the unconscious body of the Mind floated to the surface, and was recovered by his kin.
The first Mind, was male, standing apart from others avoiding physical contact wherever possible. He showed incredible intelligence from the beginning, but it was coupled with a horrible coldness and focus to a degree of impartial and unswayable logic. This new being that used to be part of a warm and wise soul seemed alien and inhumane in their actions, treating all people and things with that lack of emotional compassion that seemed robotic and damaging. However, it was this logical and methodical approach that allowed the Mind to diagnose and treat those that had been corrupted by the Void, and begin healing their inner self.
The Modern Mind, is not nearly as cold as the first, but there still is that inner need for efficiency, and that calculating presence. They are definitely the less popular of the Twin Gods, but the Mind is still invoked in many situations where one needs the emotional side of things to be lessened, and impartiality is key, such as in courts or places of law, at a physician's table, or in matters of mental and emotional therapy to heal those who have lost their way.
Core Tenants of the Mind’s Faith:
Stop. Think. Analyze. Ask questions and follow trails of clues and knowledge. The Answer exists and you will find it eventually.
Emotion may power life, but a lack of it with calm precision allows life to repair itself.
Even if there is an accepted answer, verify and question it. Test and check, as new knowledge will reveal new paths that may show flaws in old knowledge or cement it as more solid truth.
