Veiled eye of Tamarax
After a series of failures in the south and the capture of what was eventually discovered to be members of the Balfewthord Guard, a previously unknown group with far more knowledge of Erayax machinations than the Erayax were pleased about.
The Veiled Eye was formed, A predominantly secret group within the Erayax hierarchy.
The group took a little while to find their feet, espionage contained subtleties their previous blunt force approach lacked. However, once they found their way, the Veiled Eye have become a formidable organisation deeply secreted in the inner workings of the Erayax heirachy. Whilst their main focus is the disruption and ultimate downfall of the southern lands, they have a keen eye on (and hand in) more local politics and practices.

A secretive group, as such, administration is minimal.
Individual and generally autonomous cells operate both in unison and independently. At times they create their own missions and at other times are sent objectives by their "handlers" - usually faceless authority figures.

There is no public agenda for the Veiled eye. They do not exist, aside from in rumours...
History
After a veritable dream run of small but significant pieces of interference and, having a clear idea of the southerner's security abilities they had a small number of inexplicable catastrophic failures during operations suspicions were certainly raised. The capture of a group eventually proven to be part of an organisation - The Balfewforth Guard, the wheels turned rapidly and an organisation within an already complex organisation was formed.

Demography and Population
The Erayax population are separated into racial groupings and their hierarchy is predominantly race based, with the larger, stronger and/or more cunning races rising to leadership and privilege.
Rebellion is not unheard of, albeit largely unreported or recorded, and is always thoroughly put down with extreme brutality and prejudice.

It is assumed that currently the Erayax either control or have some influence over most of the northern reaches of Ashnoor.

Extremely formidable.
Whilst slave and conscript militias will be expended in battles of little to no import - the professional standing army of the Erayax is nothing if not a terrifying force of destruction and utter chaos.

Technological Level
They are easily equal to the rest of wider Ashnoor with science and technology.
Religion
They are followers of Tamarax - it is unclear exactly when their Tenet's came about or who created their mythology.
The followers of Tamarax talk of the ongoing struggle, the exile and persecution in bygone days. They talk of their chief Goddess' fall, or in their words, push from the graces of the other ten gods...She cared for and protected the Erayax with a small council of demigods who go by various names and roles...

Foreign Relations
If factions could be considered foreign then the Erayax are in a state of War currently with their neighbours. One they have no intention of ending any time soon.

Might is right is the easiest version of Erayax laws - there are some nuances though, to be fair.
Agriculture & Industry
Perhaps not a thriving industry, however, farms are productive enough to sustain the military government, the broader military and the sundry folk who make up the rest of the Erayax, the farmers and various artisans.
The various landholdings, not dissimilar to Baronies have a thriving cottage industry trade in many regions to the north. There is much commerce between villages.

Education
All Erayax are taught the basics around reading writing and numbers. Those who show and aptitude are taught the more complex skills involved in whatever aptitude they have exhibited a strength.
Whilst scholars are not a lot in numbers among the Erayax, they do command a deal of respect.
Ironically some would say, Aringale is, once again a cosmopolitan centre for learning. It is not as bustling as in past eras, and it is somewhat more materially dangerous a prospect surviving there. But some of the best fighters have also had the greatest minds among the Erayax.

The Erayax mythology states that Tamarax was one of the Eleven original deities referred to in the southern lands as The Ten.
The scriptures say that she was unjustly cast down for the crime of recognising the differences in the races. They were exiled, banished from the southern lands.
Tamarax kept them alive, and the harsh environment of the north forged them into her army of devout followers destined one day to return to their rightful place within wider Ashnoor. An exalted place no less.
