A list of things I would like to keep tabs on, should they become interesting in the future. Update when possible, expand on ideas when there is more information.   -A strange stone, possibly a new/altered sort of Cryolithium   -This person and their mentions of a stone with strange powers.   First mention Second mention   Strange reality warping box. I'm intrigued by this recounting I read, and am quite unsure to how much truth lies within it. If it is a work of fact, and I have some doubts, I would very much like to see the research papers relating to it. There are a many issues I have with the practices mentioned within this document. The most being that there are many extremely inefficient and unnecessary components to this supposed treatment, should it be true.   For a bit of reference, there was mention of a process that could not use anesthetic due to a previous process that could have very easily been done secondly. Why go in this bizarre order? I feel they were trying to cause more pain than was warranted, and the idea is worrisome to say the very least. Another point of contention I have with this article has also to do with pain. A body in pain will take to changes and healing much slower and be less than ideal when done as well. A much better process would be to do things in smaller amounts over a much longer time. While that seems a counter to my efficiency comment, the long term gains are much higher and well worth time. Not to mention that these were still people and they had no will in the matter. I know from a moral standpoint I have little ground under my feet, but I never went out of my way, even under orders, to cause pain. I am well aware the long-term effects having to recover from unnecessary pain does to a body. It ricks the whole project for a bit of shortsighted sloppiness.   Lastly is the point of nanobots. What are they? I am picturing, quite unpleasantly, tiny rovers used in medical procedures. It brings thoughts of what the Harbinger and Edwards' self important grandson have done to Mecdir, with my help no less. I am learning of a white stone with dangers that parallel those present in cryolithium. The purpose of such an item, and why one would carry it about if it has none, I do not know.   First hand account, dubious as it is, describes the item's abilities as 'thralling'. This leads me to assume it is having a mental effect of some sort, perhaps it is also Colossi related. This account also claims that it 'glows under the presence of highly volatile power' and I wonder if one might use it to detect cryolithium leakage. This is tangential and not my focus though.   The item is said to react to technology as well, though with my base assumptions of cryolithium power suspended for now, I can not think of why it would do such a thing. When I first came across this design I was amused but unimpressed. Upon closer inspection though, it seems there are some interesting ideas I would much like to explore. As I have very little to do with my time, and plenty of materials, I believe I'll start iterating on the concept.   Perhaps it will keep me from loosing my mind any further to boredom. From what I know of my son, I feel replacement eye such as this one would amuse and delight him to no end. He does so enjoy his snooping and I feel he would find many ways to abuse it for his amusement. If nothing else perhaps Mecdir could find a use for it as well.   Hopefully, this time, my prosthetics project won't grow reason and leave on its own accord. I simply want a project that will follow the very basics of logic and reason, or perhaps, obey the laws of physics and reality. I was considering giving this no more though than most of the blither I find in this communication system. But the idea of a chunk of purple Cryolithium hidden in a cave, and untouched, is of interest. If not on its own, then at least in that it gives me something to spend my time on for a while, as I do believe when treated with the right compounds the substance can turn many different colors.   It has been claimed that it reacts differently when different shades, I haven't had a chance to work with many different types. I'm curious what effects different colors would have had on the Bori Project. Perhaps when the Harbinger gives up on finding Bori2 I will be allowed to start on a third.   I wonder how difficult it would be to process it on my own. I'll have to see if Coar can bring me samples of the various types.   (Edit: I failed to mention that this rock too had a 'thralling' effect similar to the 'White Stone' mentioned in a previous paper. Is there a correlation between colored Cryolithium and being called to poison yourself with it? This will require further investigation. At first glance, its reads as though the government is going forward with MindBreaker testing. Though, having experienced the system myself, I doubt they've achieved anything as fanciful as this user seems to suggest. I, for the time being, will be writing this journal off as mere fantacy, though making a note of it here, on the chance that I am wrong.   I am considering what would be necessary to bring it to such a level though, as the idea is, at the least, of some interest. Initial impressions lead me to assume this anomaly to be an overly elaborate and pointless bit of antagonizational humor on the part of my colleges. Though, upon further inspection, I have come to the conclusion that this is indeed some sort of naturally accruing eccentricity that has not only infected my communication device, but those of others in the facility.
This is including the strange Hija(or bug, colloquially) impedimenta of my assistant, something I find most fascinating indeed. What's more, my messages and responses can be read by her device in her people's unintelligible scriblings.   With not much else to do right now I suppose I can explore this new discovery further as a distraction from the overwhelming boredom that engrips me. I seem to have gotten an unexpected response from someone I'm unfamiliar with. I am considering pursuing interaction with this person at some point, though I loathe the idea. I have unwisely ventured to see what they have written and wish I had not. They speak of Vivie mating rituals and their displeasure in watching them. I suppose my soundness of mind is a small price to pay for advancing my research into this unintended device update.
