Tips on creating JauVon characters
If you want to make your own JauVon character and need some guidance and what can and can't be in the setting (without being an alien, of course) then this page is for you!
This will cover some basic questions and rules regarding making your own fan Vie (at least, if you want them to be considered canon)
First thing to note is their body structure. They have slim bodies, (bearing a few exceptions,) long limbs, wide hips, tiny paw feet, and overly large heads, eyes, and hands.
Example Keep in mind that JauVon people are very short compared to humans or your 'standard' anthro character. They stand around 90cm on average. (just a bit under 3ft)
Well here are some tricks to creation/translation that might help!
For some things this is easy. Fur? Prolly Vivie. Scales? Prolly Ovie. Both? Prolly breaker. And for others, it's hard. Let's say your char is a shark.
That's not a mammal like a Vivie, but it's not really fitting to the egglayer feel of Ovie.
Here we have to play fast and loose with the idea of 'shark'.
Usualy I make them Vivie(Chiuvi), because once in the JauVon shape they aren't that much different looking from whales and dolphins.
But a fish I'd make an Ovie(Chiuov), because scales and spinyfins feel more Ovie.
Like most things in the setting, its all about aesthetics and what *feels* right, there are no hard rules. Here's an example of a 'shark' as a Chiuvi
This needs to make visual or asthetic sense more than logical sense.
For some things this is easy. Wings? Prolly Ben. Smooth skin/scales? Prolly Chi. Horns/antlers/spikes? Prolly Dej. More than one of these? Prolly A breaker (Though benuov usualy have scales on thier lower leg bits) And for others, it's hard. Let's say your char is a snake.
It could be Chi or Dej depending on the smoothness of its scales.
Same with some lizards. A komodo dragon would prolly end up as a Chi, and a bearded dragon would prolly end up as a Dej.
If you wanted to make a dragon dragon it would prolly be a viebreaker! (and, depending on the kind of wings you give it, it may be a viebreaker from vivie/ovie as well as ben/chi/dej) Now, let's say you wanna make an otter.
They're furry, not smooth, but they have tiny ears and are water associated.
This all depends on how you wanna picture them, really.
Chiuvi can have fur, it's just usualy slick. So you can go Chi.
If you wanna make them more fluffy or have bigger ears, you may wanna go for Dej instead.
Again, there are no hard rules, just what looks like it fits best.

Creating/Translating Characters
So you want to make something strange, or you have a character in another setting and wanna make a JauVon version?Well here are some tricks to creation/translation that might help!
Ovie or Vivie
First decide if you want them to be Ovie, Vivie, or VieBreaker. For some things this is easy. Fur? Prolly Vivie. Scales? Prolly Ovie. Both? Prolly breaker. And for others, it's hard. Let's say your char is a shark.

Ben, Chi, or Dej
Secondly decide if your characters is of the air(Ben), water(Chi), or land(Dej). This needs to make visual or asthetic sense more than logical sense.
