Arjhan Kerrhylon

Backstory

On the North coasts of Balarozzo, Arjhan was born to the Kerrhylon family as part of the Kalith Clan, where he stayed for a large portion of his life. He trained with his father Redstrow, and his two brothers Falakar and Scerjhan. He shined with his close combat axe skills, and grew highly proficient with his fire breath, and worked well with both his brothers and other members of his clan. When he was 19, Arjhan was drawn by the request of King Aldathar III in working within the Vashnir military during the War of the Eastern Front. This was to recruit reinforcements from other lands to aid in the increasingly brutal war against the goblins and orcs. Arjhan became a key member within the infantry of Vashnir, with his brute strength and open, jovial nature. He is now a lesser commander within the army, and stands by his fellow warriors at all times, and still carries the bone dice from his childhood which keeps him tied to his honour.  

Adventure in Sareth

On leave from his military duties in Sareth, Arjhan meets Sir Asguir Thornveil, Brôck Redbeard and Elräen Naïlo and form the unofficial adventuring guild of Sareth along with his friend Piper Furrowshrew. They are given a quest by Mayor Smallfoot to locate his daughter who has gone missing before the High Harvestide festival. Initially suspecting bandits and then a nefarious magic user kidnapping her, the party finds out that Fiona Smallfoot was actually the necromancer and has been trying to escape her father's control. The party defeat her and return her to town, Arjhan finding a deep connection to the rest of the party while they remain distant with him.  

A Noble Sacrifice, Paid for With Blood

During the raid of Sareth, Arjhan was in the Raven's Nest tavern celebrating the High Harvestide festival when the tavern was exploded in an ambush to capture the prince. Arjhan appears from the rubble, charging the hobgoblin general and slashing him across the chest in a valiant act of defiance against the horrors destroying his town of refuge. This distracts the commanders allowing the rest of the survivors to escape the tavern's ruins. While the party ride away from the ruins of the town, Arjhan is dragged to the town square by High Commander Malog, where he is slashed across the face, stabbed in the neck and decapitated by Czaatli Bloodborne beneath dark robes. His sacrifice allowed the party to escape and kept Piper safe.

Born in the Kalith Clan in Balarozzo, Arjhan never got a proper formal education, instead learning the skills of battle before anything else. Throughout his time in the military of Vashnir, he has also learned lots of other cultures apart from his Dragonborn ancestry.

At age 12, Arjhan worked within his clan doing any job he could - lumberjacking, carpentry, fishing, hunting and protection. Though he enjoyed it, he prefered the adrenaline of combat and was leaving his passion unexplored. This changed however when he became 21, and the clans of the Zurnag Settlements were visited by commanders from Vashnir, asking for aid in their fights against the Orcs in exchange for a fresh start. Arjhan saw this as the perfect chance. He left on the first boat the next evening along with other dragonborn from his clan, saying a brief goodbye to his family and his dad, who he hoped to see again some day.

He is quite gullible due to his lack of social awareness and being too forgiving.

Arjhan’s main goal is to keep those around him safe and to prove that he has the capabilities to be a strong leader like his father.

Has a boisterous laugh that he ends a lot of his inspiring and feel-good statements with. He uses grand gestures and calls virtually everyone "my friend."

Arjhan is a charismatic leader, able to bring up group morale with an inspiring speech and good attitude. He is highly extroverted and gets most of his energy from his friends and compatriots.

Arjhan speaks loudly and confidently, with a slightly gravelly tone and a boisterous laugh.
