- Hundreds of Thousands of Inhabitants
The Parnika system consists of a yellow sun, an inhabited world in the temperate region of the habitable zone, a small gas giant with a barren moon, and a large asteroid field.
From orbit over the inhabited world, surveyors can see large thunderstorms continually move across the planet blowing in from the oceans. This constant movement creates a humid and damp world that is perfect for growing food and medicinal crops.
Towering agricultural complexes make the rolling grasslands bloom lushly in contained circles acres wide , and herds of animals have grown used to thunder, and are not as easily spooked as they were before. Several of the complexes have broken down entirely from neglect, and abandoned tractors sit in fields enduring the constant but gentle rains. The fields they once plowed are gradually overgrown by the expansion of the surrounding unmanaged forests.
There are few mountains and because of this there is little to stop winds and other erosive forces on this world from keeping the land relatively flat.
There is only one city on planet which looks to coincidentally have the planets only spaceport , now in something as close to disuse as it can be. There are no spacecraft there, but there are dozens of abandoned lighters and atmo-planes that were left behind in the wake of the Remnant collapse.
In mid 2669 a United Nations of Worlds scout named Solace was able to convince the independent minded farmers to a trial partnership program with the polity, in the hopes of one day convincing the locals to officially join.
