Horned Behemoth

The Horned Behemoth is an extremely potent apex predator which is more than willing to attack multiple heavily armed and armoured targets at the same time. It features a pair of horns, four limbs, and is capable of moving very quickly. It prefers to attack with its claws when possible.   The creature is aggressive, and roars challenges as it roams its territory. It will seek to track down and deal with any potential rival it locates. Highly intelligent, it can observe and understand patterns well enough to exploit them while hunting and is capable of planning simple traps to catch victims unaware. It requires an unusually large amount of protein and phosphorous. In the wild, the latter usually comes from the herbivores that serve as its food source.   In captivity, the creature has proven hard to restrain and irascible. A programme of enrichment activities made the animal more comfortable and happy, but in the presence of a humanoid it will likely revert to its predatory instincts at the first opportunity.   First identified by Gurk Samson, Solace Sinensis and Thulee Blue on Parnika, a specimen is now at the Gudrun Moon Zoo.
