Forest Prowler

The Forest Prowler is a large and dangerous predator which will hunt human-sized prey if given the opportunity to do so. It is willing to operate near inhabited settlements and shows no instinctive fear of machinery or drones. First discovered on Parnika, it resembles a large, six-limbed cat. The front legs assist in climbing trees, while the rear four feature powerful claws. These are used to rend prey when pouncing from above, or when defending against others of its kind. It is stealthy, especially as its hollow hair follicles help it to blend in with the surrounding environment. Although powerful, neither the teeth nor the claws are poisonous.   The creature is often host to a parasitic worm. These worms lie just beneath the surface of the skin and are highly transmissible to humanoids, with potentially severe health effects in the event of infestation. Care must be taken after coming into close proximity with the creature. The Forest Prowler was first identified by Gurk Samson and Sola, and a specimen is now at the Gudrun Moon Zoo.
