Captain Sczindrella Kal'viratress
Sczindrella Kal'viratress (Nicknamed "Sczind") is a Drow Pirate Captain who runs the Ebony Falcon, a pirate mercenary ship that rivals the Swooning Hawk, and Pauline Derrick. Sczind is a virtuous (At least, to her own god) person, with a penchant for earning her fame in drow culture by leaving a strong mark upon the world.
When Kormyr was first discovered, Sczind was very interested in Kaldreian offers to man an expedition to the new landmass. She saw this event as an opportunity to establish strong Drow presence on the new found land, and access those resources for herself and her kin. Pauline saw through this facade that Sczind kept up around the Kaldreian family, and through espionage, found proof that Sczind was going to squander the offer by the Kaldreians, and thus sabotaged Sczind's efforts to receive the endorsements for such a voyage across the sea.
In light of this turning of the table, Sczind watched as Pauline was offered the job instead, and her burning hatred for the halfling reached a new high. Sczind planned to sabotage the expedition, by stealing Pauline's ship once it was stocked and ready to leave, and make her own trip across the sea to Kormyr.
