Lictor-Priest

2 Years of study in Law. 2 years of study in medicine. Levels in Cleric, Paladin, or another relgious class.

25 Years of Age, or twice that if from a race longer lived than humans.

Archon's Trumpeteers elect Lictor Priests to thier position. The election grants them 10 years of service. It is discouraged to elect Lictors of a race different to the Archtemple they serve.

Length of Service

After the expiration of thier appointment a Lictor-priest can gift a pound of salt to the Archpriest that elected them. If the gift is accepted they gain another decade of service. If the gift is refused they have two options to continue thier service. If they are gifted an olive tree by the Emperor or an Archon they can continue service for 7 years. If they fight in a declared Holy War or Inquisition they may extend thier service until the end of the conflict and one year. (This does lead to some lictors being known as warpriests as they are dedicated Holy Warriors that serve for life in the armies)

Civil and Religious Judges, lawyers, and tax collectors. They are also required to give 1/10 of thier income to charity and are expected to give medical service free of charge for 1 week of the year.

Granted a bedroom and personal study within a Seminary.

A lead Scale, typically a Mace with the head being shaped into the visage of an Emperor. A book of Holy Laws.

Dismissal only occurs if 2 other lictorpriests declare a fellow lictorpriest to be a Serpentmouth. The ex-lictorpriest then has thier tongue cleft and a serpent tattooed onto thier chest.
