The Song

This machine... how does it create all these voices? Well, I guess it's my job to find out.
— The Tapir
The Song is a machine that lives at the centre of the Heavenly Kingdom. Throughout the days and nights it emits strange whispers through pipes into the air. Through it the power of speech is spread throughout the Kingdom and into the Intelligents. The Song keeps them alive, and it is the many words of the Song that the Tapir seeks to understand.

Utility

It seems the Song is used to power the Intelligents' bodies. But I can't help but wonder what other kinds of power speech has...

Manufacturing

The way the Song was created appears to be a closely guarded secret. The Intelligents are quiet whenever I ask about it. Their silence is unnerving.

Social Impact

I have heard the Intelligents reference the Song many times, but that could mean many things. One theory I do have is that the languages coming from the Song affect different Intelligents in different ways. Perhaps they dictate their roles in society, or what they can or can't do. Perhaps they affect what languages the Intelligents themselves can speak in turn. Perhaps they even control them. Maybe these whispers are even more alive than they seem...   My, that last thought sent a chill down my spine. Perhaps I should rest my head and let these thoughts settle a bit.

Access & Availability
There is only one Song, but its voice contains multitudes.
The Song appears to be located inside a brass dome. The Intelligents guard it day and night... but I will find a way in soon.
