Intelligent
The Intelligents are AI entities that reside in the Heavenly Kingdom. They move about by piloting android bodies that are powered by speech. When inactive, the Intelligents dock their bodies and transfer themselves back to the Drive. Some Intelligents instead transfer themselves to various devices and machines to provide services to active Intelligents.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Intelligents control bipedal humanoid bodies that are wiry and almost skeletal in appearance. They have synthetic ribcages for chests that house a large crystal sphere suspended by wires. Their translucent blue bodies are laced with milk-white veins.
Behaviour
The Intelligents are generally distant and aloof. They consider the Heavenly Kingdom a utopia, and seem to want for nothing. There is an order to things, they believe, and that order must be followed.
Additional Information
Social Structure
There are two types of Intelligents: the Solars and the Lunars.
The Solars are active during the day, while the Lunars are active at night. Both groups have their own separate activities that they engage in. When one group is active, the Intelligents from the other one often inhabit the other devices and machines.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They are able to take on the capabilities of any device or machine they inhabit. This includes the ability to perceive things via different types of sensors.
Civilization and Culture
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Do they have their own languages, or do they merely imitate what the Song says? They seem to have come up with a language on the fly to use with me. Perhaps it is what I sound like to them. Regardless, speech has power here, so I'm sure there's a culture around it. They do talk to each other, but I haven't quite figured out the significance of these interactions yet. But do they really only use it as an energy source? Do the languages from the Song have no meaning beyond that? No, that can't be right. If that were the case, I would not have the mission I have now. There must be something more... What else is speech capable of?
