SE05 : EP32 - Battle in the Yam Fields

The Zaratan tosses soil in every direction as it lumbers it's heavy limbs on to the ground. The party takes a step back and surround the huge monster. Witchem heads off to free the last prisoner. As the apparatus explodes he heals the commer back into health.   After getting hit a few times the beast rears up. A blast of roots, dirt, dust, and stones is sprayed across the field. The field is now a broken waste of unturned earth. As they battle on they need to navigate the rough terrain. Sensing the batt;e not going well, Ryder makes the call to lead it away for the city. The party sprints towards the distraction forces by the Iris portal.   The Zaratan returns back around and fails to follow them. The fight is unavoidable. A few of the warriors take beatings as they pick at the health of the giant turtle until it folds into its shell. They take the moment to creat distance and heal. But the clawed legs lash out dropping Warren Torrance and Eñahkais. They rally, healing the fallen and charging. Enahkais falles again, losing her left leg from the a little below the knee. But they fight on, and in the end slay it.   Rgrouping they have the most battered and have then head to the portal. Kellasin and Eñahkais use Polaris to head back. The rest continue towards the town.   * * * * *   The hit team moves swiftly through the upper city. They are sigularly focused on getting to the palace. Daphix ponders what he will do to Stargazer once he gets his hands on him, when a familiar devilish voice speaks into his mind.
