Vedai Kali Follies 1480.02

Start in Kali , in a dry rainforest. Marshlands. Thousands of people. A face in the sky. Population try not to glance at it.   Heading into the river city Vedai Kali, the capital of Kali at the edge of the savannah.   60 ft Doomscryers stand and watch the party travel down the River Porus. They give off waves of nerotic energy even hundreds of feet from the shore.   Dwayne hears the voice of a teenage boy "Welcome to the war, Warlord."   One Doomscryer sits, the other heads inland.   Cut to Ophion and Sairis, covered in Ice Devil ichor. Outside of city, about 400 metres. See and hear a Doomscryer. Hear and see the Sheev Hobgoblin Legions marching toward the city. Led by Dukrelar Pierce (25lvl Fighter) and war trumpets blaring.   Vulerai meets them as a priest of Bane at the head of an elite company of Kali soldiers, pattern jugglers and other dignitaries. She is only second to General Chaj Joab, an imposing battle master and known as Kali's greatest general.   Back to party. Old man with tentacles for legs swims beneath the boat, the same Great Old One Shaman seen down river a month or so back.   Party pay for entry into the city, a little bribery is involved.   Sairis and Ophion trail hobgoblins into city. Sairis magically smudges Dakrila's glasses. Vulerai looks back at Ophion.   The Enlightened Heart of the Enlightened Row. Dedicated to elevating the Night Gods.   Ophion hears Gundark entering the city. The Embered Glyph Keeper.   Gimblenock slips that "We are trying to save the universe and it's doing my head in."   Gundark's eyes black over when Ophion mentions his father (Reuben appears for a second). Sayris' raven returns.   Gimblenock shiver as a sensation pulses through him. Something on Sayris is causing it. It feels disturbing. A calibration tool.   The raven, Aska, lands on Essen's shoulder before moving back to Sayris.   Dwayne cannot smell a nearby cigar.   Party is after a pauldron from a celestial Loxodon god to bring back the Star-Dragon.   Essen notices Ophion's armour feels stronger. Similar to the feeling elicited by the Dissipater.   Party notices a Great Old Ones appear for a second in the sky before taking on hominid god like form. This is the Great Old One, Zax Kali Tor. This is the face that appears in sky looking down on the Kali Tyranny. This is Kali.   Aska ends the night on Gimblenock's shoulder.   Gimblenock's eyes flick to computer code for a second in front of Sayris and Aska.   Sayris' broken calibration lens was forged in Atlantis and can be used to travel through the spaces.   Dwayne and Gundark investigate the fireworks/sacrifices. Vularai is performing the sacrifices. Slaves and others are being sacrificed as part of a spectacular ritual running for a full phase of the moon under a Blood Moon.   Gimblenock crafts a replica of the pauldron after 7 days.   Dukrelar Pierce will soon present his tribute to Yadari, the Tyrant of Kali. Once presented it will be taken to the depths of the Enlightened REow under the watchful eye of the Enlightened Warden, Kali Swala.   The hand of a black Abashi covers Ophion's mouth.
