Korris
Korris is the 4th planet from its sun and is notable for its system of rings that orbit Korris's equatorial plane and are readily visible from the surface of the planet. Korris rotates on a 20 degree tilt to the plane of the rest of the system and the plane of the rings follows this tilt.
The rings appear to be a dull black during the day. At night however, the they sparkles as it reflects the sunlight from over the horizon in a myriad of other colors making for a stunning display. The rings form the dominant feature over the skies of Korris. The only other objects in Korris's night sky are a handful of points of light that follow regular movements over the course of a year.
Korris's rings are dense enough that when they stand between Korris and its sun, they cast a deep shadow and cause a momentary eclipse. Due to the regularity and homogeneity of the rings, this is a common occurrence and the interval between the eclipses and the position that the sun crosses the rings correlates with the seasons.
Geography
The surface of Korris is a varied and mostly wild place with myriad environments and biomes. It is covered 60% in oceans and three major continents dot its surface:
1. One continent sits in the northern hemisphere whos southern coast brushes just past the northern tropic and extends over the pole in the north
2. Two other continents occupy the other hemisphere of the planet with one being largely equatorial and the other centering on the southern pole.
Many islands and other land masses also dot the surface and are mostly clustered around the larger land masses.
