Mooncaller

The Mooncaller is a special device designed by Agamine the Lost, originally for the legendary paladin Patana the Painted. It was not finished by the time of her death and the Mooncaller's components were hidden away to prevent anyone from completing it.   During the Apocalypse, Kipilu of Tezitkal persuaded Agamine to provide him the necessary components and plans to finish the project. Salana the Old assisted in this process.   The Mooncaller uses a special core of Ederstone-mutated lunar rocks to essentially trick The Divine Contact's sense of time to use that of the machine rather than that of the real world. Mechanical-arcane components are used to manipulate these rocks and the movement of the incense, air, and chalk, to miniaturize the contact enough to be affected.   This device allows the user to make unlimited Divine Contacts to any Lunar God regardless of the time of the year. Kipilu's artificery added new functionality: the ability to "group call" all of The Lunar Pantheon at once, or several Lunar Gods at once. These additional functions are entirely beyond what Agamine believed possible.   The Mooncaller appears as a metal sphere with leather straps, arcane runes, and deposit hatches for incense and ceremonial chalk. A small window displays the current moon sign. A small set of cranks on the side are used to shift the moonsign and the machine's set of time (one week per crank - 40 cranks needed to make the contact think that the full 10 months between contacts have passed). A small level and button are used to switch gears for a group call.
