Zhìshèn

Zhìshèn is notably more upbeat/positive than the rest of the group. She's kind of impish, and loves playing tricks, but only really enjoys it when everyone involved is having fun. She's a little younger than the rest (save oni kid , obviously), and she absolutely lives for their attention. She's also a bit more... level headed than the others, but that doesn't mean she doesn't also end up in dumbass arguments with them. Zhìshèn's super touchy, and uses her enhanced speed to her advantage-- draping herself over someone one moment, then halfway across a clearing the next. She really wants everyone to get along, so she focuses a lot of her energy on little shit, much to his chagrin.   She's far more observent than she appears, and very quickly learned what behavior is accentable to whom and when (especially with "The other one", who is both Masuge, who have complicated hierarchy rules, and the leader of their squad-- so they can seem to switch on a dime to non-masuge). Zhìshèn also often provides comfort, and is very good a gauging what each member wants (be it quiet companionship from a few feet away, her quietly cuddled up with them, her rambling about her day or interests, etc)-- the one member she has major issues with in all regards is little shit. He's super standoffish, she's never met another member of his species, and he kind of rubs her the wrong way-- the way their team is meant to work is on unquestioning, unconditional trust, and his actions shake that foundation even years in (she tries to ignore that, but she does end up exploding at him a few times). They really don't get much closer until very late in the war, after a few close deaths, and senfeng loses his arm.   While it's commonly assumed that she's from the far mainland-- where most of her species are from-- she is from a lineage that has been in the northeast archipelligo for millenia. Specifically, she's from the southernmost island; where it tends to be a bit warmer. She's rather sensitive to the cold, so she wears quite warm clothes when she must go north (or if it gets chilly in the south). As a toji, she favors extremely sheer, revealing clothing and frequents deserts.   Zhìshèn and Meihkén  have an adorable dynamic-- they're both super passionate about the things they do, and they first bond over both being from the south of the archipelago. Meihkén is a Masuge weaponsmith, and that type of craftsmenship is very important to Zhìshèn's people-- since they have genetic oddities that make it rather unreliable whether they will grow full limbs, they are at the very forefront of magic (and mechanical!) prosthetics. She's especially interested since she has all four prosthetics, and she's always looking for ways to improve them. The two can often be found pouring over weapon plans or screwing around with acrobatic manouvers (often joined by Xianshèng and Shiyanxā).
