Xianshèng's Time | War

Basically, this is the parent article for events that take place from the time Xianshèng was initially conscripted for That one war that ended with too many toji to when they "die".

Conscription itself is a bit odd, since it effectively went through three separate governments-- Zhoûaueǐɥong Empire is allied with the sort-of-Confederation of the Northeast Archipelago, which in turn is made up of the many smaller ethno-governments in the area. Basically, the Empire requested powerful magic users from the confederacy, who decided the amount that would be sent and spread that information to the smaller governments, which decided the individuals. The empire, already aware of the confederacy's methods of preparation for war, gave them very advance notice (as in years before they were actually called upon), so teams could be assembled and trained (and to make sure that each member of each team trusted one another implicitly).

These teams were often sent alongside more traditional platoons, and were kept together until very late in the conflict, when they were split up to act as generals (especially those who held high positions in their native militaries, like Xianshèng and Dànhúa).
