Thebes
The largest population center in Greece. This city-state is home to the most affluent, and most impoverished people in this world. The architecture of Thebes defines it. Tall overbearing buildings look down on the streets, casting them in shadow. Due to the size and number of these skyscrapers, some corners of Thebes haven't seen daylight in years. This darkness allows for the extent of shady dealings that go on here. Law is a suggestion here save for the rules enforced by the gangs that rule the streets. It seems like people never choose to live in Thebes, they just wind up there.
Demographics
People of all races are found in Thebes, but the most common races are the Tieflings, Halflings, and Warforged.
Government
Thebes has no official government. The Judges of Corinth are technically in charge, and their soldiers act as guards, but ultimately it is the gangs of Thebes that run the show.
Industry & Trade
Thebes makes little outside of wine and drugs of all kinds, but they trade in everything. People have given up great riches for their fix here, or had their riches stolen out from under them.
Infrastructure
Platforms hang from the buildings here, allowing citizens to build homes atop them. Whole sections of the city are suspended midair, but this adds to the oppressive darkness on the streets below that is only alleviated by lampposts burning a distinct color depending on what gang controls the area. There is one greenway that is open to the sun, that stretches for miles. It is home to the theater of Dionysus and the Great Dionysia.
Guilds and Factions
There are four major gangs that run the streets and towers of Thebes. The Dragons, Manticores, Hydras, and Minotaurs. They each control an aspect of life central to living in Thebes.
History
Thebes' last king was Oedipus. Since then, the city has fallen from what it once was. The kings palace, turned into a den for those without homes.
Architecture
Thebes is defined by it's high towers that seemingly reach into the clouds. On foggy days, fog banks hang below the tops of these buildings. Inside are businesses and homes of all kinds.
Geography
Thebes is built along the banks of the Kifisos river, and surrounded by vineyards, and groves alike.

There are abundant fruits that come from the rocky soils around Thebes. Grapes, cherries, apples, and pomegranates are the most abundant.
