This city was once the seat of power of the Elder King.
Defences
The city was originally a fortified outpoust that grew as the need for it to grow arose over the decaded more and more walls and towers got erected. In time towers where modified to be able to whitstand most assault even being equiped with ballistas.
The marsh it got built onto also offered a defensive advantage no sizeable army would be able to surprise the settlement or make their way quickly to the walls before being noticed.
History
The exact date that the settlement came to existance is lost to time even elves don't have a definitive answer for that question.
