Embrelle

Location: South of Brambleward, curving toward the river’s southern bend—elevated but not lofty.

Tone: Respectable, guarded, hopeful. Where middle-class ambition mingles with aristocratic anxiety. Fittingly, Embrelle is an old word that means "to aspire."

Inhabitants:

  • Minor noble houses, bureaucrats, and knightly stewards
  • Wealthy crafters and well-born guildmasters
  • Young clergy and ambitious students

Notable NPCS:

  • Ser Luthar Dalness –Reformist knight teaching etiquette to halflings and commoners
  • Inessa Velthorn – Minor noble's daughter turned underground organizer for guild reform
  • Master Quen Salvinar – Legal scribe who controls property registrations; rumored to falsify titles for coin

Points of interest

  • The Mirrorwall Academy – A place of historical etiquette, rhetoric, and legal ritual, open to non-nobles “by sponsorship only.”
  • The Clockbridge Manor – A mechanical hall that rings the hours with magic-forged brass. Owned by a family in quiet decline.
  • The Drywish – A public wishing spring once blessed by Marawae, now dry—rumored to only flow again “when the honest rule.”
