Yukiko Musashi

Yukiko was born in 1975 as the daughter of the local shaman in Nikkō Tochigi Japan. at the age of 10 she has started studying under her mother to become the new shrine maiden (Miko) of Futarasan jinja emissary and protector of the kami, becoming the first of her line to take the role in the modern, post Mutespellera when her mother died 3 years later in 1988 while fulfilling her duties. Yukiko continued her mother's work, stumbling at first with the hefty load, but assisted by her mother's sisters yukiko has kept balance and peace between the humans of the now modern Nikkō Tochigi and the Kami of mount Nantai who were no longer held in secrecy by the mutespell
In the summer of 1992 After a few hectic months, during which tensions flared amongst the local population of kami and the city, Yukiko was contacted by a man reprisenting the merlinian order, presenting himself as part of the order's attempt to help and recruit peace keepers from across the globe, Gottfried Von Everec offered the order's assistance in Yukiko's work. Overwhelmed with the situation, she graciously accepted, and with Gottfried's arrival two days after they managed to calm tensions.
Yukiko tought her new friend about the kami, believing the merlinians to be interested in her homeland's spirits for research purposes, and in return Gottfried taught her the basics of merlinian magics, to which the young miko shown a natural affinity.
After a month of training and the arrival of a dozen or so additional merlinian enforcers Gottfried revealed his intentions to yukiko, the merlinians were here to recruit her yes, but also to contain the kami, explaining merlin's ideology Yukiko sought to stop them, however the rest of the enforcers had already started the process of shackeling the mountain's spirits as Gottfried drew Yukiko's attention. Realising it was too late, Yukiko lashed out against her former teacher, discovering the disparity in proficancy between the two as Gottfried imobalized her. On that day the mountain went silent, the spirits were gone and Yukiko swore that she would change the merlinian order, for she saw it's great potential in Gottfried's lies, and that no other sacred place would ever be silenced.
A year later in 1993 Yukiko joined the 3rd class of the merlinian's open school of magic, showing exelancy in her studies and preformance she graduated with honors and became a loyal member of the order, as well as an innovative spellcaster. In the wake of the morganian resurgance she put her nomination to the council as supreme magus arcanum, recieving the position on the support of a few prominent figures, amongst them Gottfried Von Everac.
Despite her outspoken political view, Yukiko has served the order loyaly and eventually, through political machinations managed to convince the council to allow her to test her different approach to dealing with remote magical threats, by annointing a chosen protector from within the community that would carry out the task of protecting the population and containing the wild magics in the area while having hte backing of camelot.
Yukiko chose The Foilekokra Tribe as her first attempt due to her research suggesting reasonable leadership and powerfull spirits which may become a priority for containment should they choose to ally with morgana. While she originaly wished for leader and bidera Sawina to take the role of annointed protector, Yukiko was told by the Sawina that her daughter Kiara would be the better choice, as she was a natural leader and a warrior who could accomplish such a task. Yukiko visited the tribe, and took kiara with her to be trained in camelot in the hopes that she can return and keep her tribe, and their spirits safe both for the rest of the world, and from her own organizations.

Yukiko was taught in the traditions of the Mikos, the shrine maidens of japan who were the ones who kept the peace and balance between the kami and the mortals.
Later in life she attended the open school of magic in camelot, finishing top of her class in 1998 and going on to train as a member of the order.

Failing to save her home and mountain from the radical actions of the merlinians have shaped yukiko's view of the order and the changes that must be made in it's philosophy and tactics.
