Xenolineage

When a human accepts an Atman, and goes through the procedure to unite with the DNA of one of the coalition's races, a Xenolineage is created. Imbued with the DNA of the race and entrusted with it's legacy the human gains traits belonging to the alien spicies they have accepted, and those become part of their biology, to be transfered down their familly tree. each familly is different and stems from a different race of the coalition, with varying enhancements due to their alien DNA as well as different views of their responsibility to their respective Atman and race. traditionaly the Atman is given down when the progenitor of a xenolineage passes on to their eldest child who carries the torch to the next generation. due to the ark's arrival being only about 50 years ago the oldest Xenolineages are about 3 generations old,

Culture

Culture and cultural heritage

Each Xenolineage carries with it the culture of an extinct race of the coalition, they adhere and preserve that culture, or abandon it with their Atmans.

Common Taboos

For many, those who abandon the Atmans gifted to them or their ancestors by Manu are disrespectful and selfish, consigning an entire race to oblivion.

due to their goal of spreading the extinct DNA, many of the members of xenolineages are polyamorous, causing some discomfort in more conservative societies.
