Kanturions
The Kanturions are an extinct race a member of the coalition, joining after the destruction of their homeworld during the Black Suns War.
At the end of the Black Suns War, the sage Lantro was elected to store his conciousness in an atman in order to preserve the legacy of the Kanturion race. said Atman was given to Dame Commander Freya Bond years later as part of the agreement with the british goverment. The Kanturions are a noble and stubborn race, hyper intelligent, tall with elongated ears and cosmic-like eyes. The kanturion home planet was amongst the first to fall to the Black suns, being incenerated along with it's people to fuel their conquest. The Kanturions were destroyed by both their hyper intelligence and their stubbornness, for despite the looming threat of the war engulfing the galaxy they did nothing due to slow political decision making and endless arguing, they were unable to reach an acceptable solution, and so they were destroyed, the only decision they made was to send a deligation led by sage Lantro the Brave, to the coalition, joining the fight in spirit, but with little actual resources to offer.

Growth Rate & Stages
Kanturions mature at a slower rate then humans, living up to about 150 earth years on average. In ancient times, Kanturions lived primitive lives under the seas of their homeworlds, adapting to the surface was an important evolutionary leap.
Ecology and Habitats
The Kanturion homeworld was a world far from it's sun, which made it much colder and darker then earth. Thus life on the planet's continents is fairly sparse, and forced to adapt to the lack of resources.
In the oceans, the situation is different, relatively teeming with life they sustain a more familliar food chain, on which ancient Kanturions were in the middle, living off smaller aquatic life but living in fear of the planet's few major predators.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Most life on the Kanturion homeworld are slow moving and slow reproducing, due to the distance from the sun and the cold, this made a carnivorous diet outside of the oceans almost impossible to sustain. so early Kanturion life has adapted and started eating more raw minerals,salts and carbohydrates and much less fat and protein.

The Kanturions used to live in a meritocratic society, where idealy each member were suited to it's work and position. their downfall was their indecision, as their ruling goverment who were responsible for those desicions often found themselves unsure.

Before the war the Kanturions were dominant on several planets in their solar system, occupying 3 planets with several satelites also housing smaller groups.

By human standards Kanturions are brilliant, being able to process enormous amounts of data, however due to their fast calculating brains they tend to fall into decision paralsys a lot, making them ideal advisors but poor rulers.

Kanturions are natural telepaths, and by human standards hyper inteligent. they are also capable of sight in complete darkness.

Due to the unique organizational structure of the Kanturions they had no last names as we can understand, instead they had first names and the last name as their occupation. (e.g. Kalygos, the smith)

The most known organization of the Kanturions was "The Table" a group of elite thinkers and inventors who ruled over the Kanturions.

Like many races of the coalition, the Kanturions have achieved space travel, however due to their more reserved nature did not venture far beyond their own solar system.

History
The kanturions lived in enclaves upon their several worlds for 4 thousand years of recorded history, previous to which it is said that they used to be of a lesser intelect and swam the seas of their homeworlds, sitting somewhere in the middle of it's food chain.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The Kanturions had for years kept to themselves, engaging in very few rare conflicts and not investing much research into interstellar travel. when the Black Suns began their conquest, they stayed out of the fight until it was too late, and thus only managed to support the coalition with a small enclave that was sent to advice the other races and thus was rescued from the ruin of their civilization.
