Fabio Onyxson
The Red Onyx
Childhood and Upbringing
Fabio Onyxson was born in 175 AG in Vauroda to Elias Onyxson and his wife. He followed 6 brothers and 11 sisters, and he would be the last child Elias the Exalted would father. As he was considered insignificant in the line of succession in the eyes of his father, only being 7th in line, he was sent to be raised at the court of Tiago II of Aldarr in an effort to improve the relations between the cities. Here, Fabio witnessed the greatness of Tiago II up close. He became a devout follower of The Seven Aspects. [Leave some room for more connections, maybe a close friendship with one of the bastards].Fallout
In 199 AG, when Fabio heard about the events of The Collapse of Castle 5 and the exile of king Elias the Exalted, he abandoned his post to meet his father in Ponrada. Although he barely knew his family, the death of his brothers and sister caused him great sorrow. It would mean, however, that Fabio was now the rightful heir of Vauroda. He stayed in Ponrada to help his father plan his return to Vauroda. During this time, Fabio became increasingly aware of his father's ties to the Touched Souls, a secret organization of Thorn Elves from Stellcida. He would initially tolerate his father's meetings with the Touched Souls. This changed, however, when Elias tried to induct his son into the secret organization. He unveiled to Fabio the quest of the Touched Souls to extend their lifespan and that they had been able to somewhat prolong the life of Elias himself. Fabio was affronted by these heretical practices, and thought the Touched Souls were an insult to the Seven Aspects. A big shouting match ensued. When soldiers of the Onyx Order tried to intervene, Fabio turned to them with the following words:Stay out of this! This is personal, and it's private. Real bloody private!

A New Life
Fabio left Ponrada in 202 AG, angered by his father's actions, intending to return to Aldarr. However, when he arrived in Foratorra in 203 AG, he learned of the death of Tiago II and the civil war that followed. He also learned of the Flight of the Fallen, the exodus of those fearing the return of Elias the Exalted, later founding the city of Domaroda. He decided to go to Domaroda instead, wanting to protect the people from the inevitable wrath of his father. He hid his identity from the people of Domaroda, claiming he was a low ranking officer from Aldarr sympathetic to their cause, born to parents who had fled Vauroda due to the pressing circumstances there. He was highly distrusted at first, but he quickly won the admiration of the people of Domaroda due to his excellent leadership skills picked up during his upbringing at the court of Tiago II. Fabio was present as a delegation of Domaroda during talks with Solaster the Wise to negotiate an alliance with Stellcida in 205 AG. They agreed on gathering their forces to march on Vauroda and force a pitched battle. Elias the Exalted attempted to pre-empt the armies of his enemies from linking up by negotiating an alliance with Foratorra. They were tasked with tying down the forces of Stellcida, which resulted in the Battle of the Thorn Forest. Due to a clever strategy by Solaster the Wise, the forces of Stellcida were still able to reach Domaroda in time before Elias the Exalted could strike. This resulted in the Battle of the Bell, in which Fabio lead the peasant militia of Domaroda to a brilliant but costly victory against the Onyx Order, the personal bodyguard of Elias the Exalted. When prisoners were rounded up following the battle, one of the soldiers of the Onyx Order who recognized Fabio revealed his identity to the people of Domaroda. They were divided on how to handle this situation, as they held a huge resentment towards the House of Onyx. In the end, his bravery shown in battle won over the people of Domaroda, even proclaiming him as their ruler. He got the nickname 'The Red Onyx', for his distinctive red cape. He is currently overseeing the development of Domaroda, including the reconstruction of the bell tower.
