Seawatch
Beneath the foaming breakers off Nidus’ coast, the Seawatch keep their vigil. These merelves live in reef-fortresses grown from coral and kelp, their spears tipped with glassy obsidian pulled from the sea’s floor. They patrol the currents as others might patrol walls, gliding through shoals and kelp forests in silence. When threats rise from above, the Seawatch strike without warning, using the pull of the tide and the veil of foam as their shield.
Among them, Argonauts swim as champions, Seawatch Sentries hold the hidden approaches, and the Siryn call through the water with voices that can still ships or stir frenzy. To the merelves, the Seawatch are more than soldiers—they are the breath between tide and shore, the guardians of a frontier most surface dwellers never think to defend.
