Dame Grimhild Graeme
Dame Grimhild Graeme rules Vienstadt under the Signoria of Grivour. She is tall, with sharp bone features and eyes like ink-spill, her pale hands often stained from scroll-ink and mortar dust. Draped in scholarly robes edged with charcoal grey and pigmetns of painted yellow, she wears relics of Belcoursian history around her neck: a broken quill, a chipped stone seal, a ring from a forgotten Lourd.
Grimhild is an archivist, an occultist and a ruler. She reveres memory and tradition more than war, believing that Belcour’s legacy is preserved in glyph’s stroke and tome’s page. Yet beneath her calm, there is resentment: for House Baudelaire’s alliance with empire, for those who call her antiquarian but not legitimate ruler. Grimhild’s rule is one of subtle influence — sponsorship of scholars, control of hidden relics, whispered alliances — and she guards her people with the sharpness of her mind and the cautious loyalty of old blood.
