Raxus Secundus

A lush pastoral world in the Outer Rim in the Tion Hegemony sector.     Pre-Clone Wars In its History Raxus Secundus was settled by refugees from a tyrannical king, this safe haven didn't last long as the king took the planet and, enjoying the climate and beautiful landscapes turned it into a private estate. This estate gradually grew until the King was deposed and the planet was opened up. Lacking many natural resources like Gold, fuel, or other mine-able minerals but good soil the planet largely became an agricultural planet. After some time other people with an eye for beauty noticed the planet. The Intergalactic Banking Clan were the first to set up a corporate retreat on the planet, and others soon followed.   By the Time of the Naboo Crisis Raxus was home to a thriving corporate retreat economy with most of the major companies in the galaxy having offices and retreats on the planet.   Clone Wars Given the corporate backing of the CIS during the Clone Wars Raxus became a de-facto capital early on due to a large communications network and most of the corporations and many planetary governments in the CIS having infrastructure already on the planet. Given the planet was in a relatively safe position on the Galactic Map the planet soon officially became the de-facto capital for the Confederate Parliament for the duration of the War.     Rise of the Empire   At the End of the Clone Wars Raxus was hit by a major Republic Task force and the planet suffered incredible damage, the Capital city was devastated and most of the companies that had supported the CIS were destroyed or put under the Empire's thumb. With no Business retreat economy, a devastated landscape, mass civilian casualties, and brutal Imperial crackdowns Raxus fell into poverty and ruin, with the only economy being Imperial run exotic fruit farms around the Capital.     Imperial Domain     Death of the Empire.
