Isha

Isha is a powerful kingdom in southern Erask, with a large, urbanised population of secondborn. Industrial towns are separated by stretches of intensively-farmed countryside. The mountains have some seismic activity, but much less than Hadhlen, as well as housing the kingdom's remaining Primeval Wilderness.   The ruler of Isha is called the Isha-Rak. Originally sanctified by pact with a volcanic deity, the Child of the Stone Crucible, about three centuries ago, this bargain drove the Rak of the time to appoint an Orc warrior named Shurka Bonesight to the previously unknown rank of League Marshall, and to charge her with gathering a military force from all the states of Erask that became known as the Western Horde. Marshall Bonesight then led this force over the Aisling Ocean on a mission of conquest to Boriya. This mission was ultimately unsuccessful, and the cost to Erask was dear.   The Isha-Rak still rules from Firehold, a mountain factory-city noted for its production of smokepowder, explosives and firearms. Regular shipments up and down the Powdertrail River to the port of Battery control the only external market in firearms. To the north, the shipyards of Skipa sits at the mouth of the winding Serpentine. Since the failure of the Horde broke the covenant with the Child, the Isha-Rak has been bound from coronation to a god known as the Mother of Rivers.
