High Elves

The high elves are those Elves who live in their ancestral estates in Boriya and use Divine Pacts to secure their place in society and their power over the world. They consider themselves to be the first of all the Firstborn, and the best that Galath has to offer. They typically occupy the upper echelons of sanctified societies, although they often consider it best to allow mixed-lineage scions - usually half-human - to engage in sacred marriages, in part because their shorter lifespan limits the duration of the resulting pacts.   High elves are accepting of mixed-lineages which combine elven and other Firstborn heritage, but not usually those with Secondborn blood. By tradition they are strict vegans, and consider meat-eating to be a low habit.   High elves have a wide range of colouration, with those in the north typically fair and those in the south darker, but intermarriage has resulted in a huge range in all major populations.
