The Iron Blood Clan

Structure

Gelda is the Chieftess of the tribe, and is the leader in every aspect. The leader is meant to keep the tribe growing, both in numbers and in territory. It is their duty to teach, and have those they've coveted become leaders to their sects as well. Some are meant for battle, others for rearing children and taking in stragglers and in turn teaching them their way. Some sects are meant to be more like merchants (typically this is meant for the half orcs, as a way to earn their place but also because they are often seen as less menacing) in order to grow their supplies.
Under the Chieftess directly is their right hand, or second in command. At present, this is Sheera Uresh, a half orc that helped Gelda start her crucade to procure such a large tribe.

Culture

The tribe sees the rest of the world as theirs for the taking, wether it be through diplomatic means, or through war.
As a rule of thumb, where an orc is a battle is likely to be fought. They are an action type of crowd, less so for the formalities of talking unless it suits them. With Gelda as the Cheiftess, they have done a surprising amount of both. There are now burned husks of towns littered across the country, but just as many tradesmen have found them to be excellent sources for stirring up the economy.

Public Agenda

The biggest prize is to become High King/Queen. The tribe will do everything in their power to ensure that their cheiftess has the chance to do battle and earn the title.

Assets

The tribe is most well known for dried meats, and pelts of all kinds. Occasionally there is weapons and armor, livestock too, though it is rare.
And, of course, they can be hired muscle as well. Very good for protecting caravans or inns.

History

Not much is written about how this particular tribe came to be, as it happened rather quickly.
There used to be as many as 27 seperate smaller tribes, and now there are 7, including this one.

Demography and Population

Entirely made up of orcs and half-orcs.

Religion

Ereshkigal and Torva Messor are equally snubbed and praised when a warrior dies. The deceased must be covered with cloth from the living in an attempt to hide the soul from the Gods so that they may witness one last night of revelry in their honor.
Once the next morning has come, the cloths are removed and the body buried in the ground with a marker of some kind. In this way, allowing Torva to collect the dead and to be passed to Ereshkigal to see judgement.

Laws

It is forbidden to 'help' another unless explicilty asked or ordered to do so. To go through your own struggles is to become stronger. To take that struggle away from someone is highly disrespectful.
Challenges for power must be overseen by a majority of the tribe (may vary) in order to ensure a fair fight.

Education

Families are expected to teach their young, and to include the young that has been adopted by the tribe as a whole. The leaders of the seperate sects will also pick from the children for what they'll learn, and take them under as apprentices.
